Power Flush - or the amazing new MagnaCleanse system from Adey ? We know which one we prefer !
- A MagnaCleanse simply cannot be beaten. It's much faster and far more effective than a traditional power flush. It leaves your system clean on the inside by removing the sludge which has built up inside your radiators and pipes. It also provides you with on-going protection.
- When we started using the MagnaCleanse system, we were amazed at the results - see the photos below...
These results simply amazed us. When you think that this is just one of two filters and both of them looked like this each and every time we isolated a single radiator.
This particular house had 10 radiators - so multiply what you see above by 20 to understand the amount of sludge we removed from this system. This is typical of many homes that we visit.
Sludge is primarily iron oxide, or rust which sits at the bottom of your radiators and restricts the flow of hot water. This means that your boiler is working overtime to try and heat your house, because your radiators are not working efficiently. You can tell when sludge starts to become a problem when the bottom-middle of the radiator feels much cooler than the top.
Whenever we install a new boiler into an existing system, we strongly recommend a system cleanse at the same time, so that you get the most out of your new boiler and allow it to work at the best possible efficiency level.
Many boiler manufacturers now insist on a system cleanse to validate their warranty and you can understand why. If this amount of rust is left in the system, it will start to clog up the fine tubes inside the boiler's heat exchanger, significantly reducing its working life. Imagine also the damage that this sort of material causes to moving parts, like pumps.
